Like in the CHAMPIONS CLUB Berlin 2009 Athletics – the spezial design METROPOLIS OF SPORT BERLIN.
2009 is a peculiar year for Berlin: First the Athletics World Championships, and then the 20. anniversary of the peaceful revolution 1989. This sculpture is painted with one of the highlights of the Athletics World Championships, the marathon running through the Brandenburger Tor.
This special design comes with winning sash made of real gold.
Each miniature is precisely shaped in a scale of 1:25, following the original L-shape of the Berlin Wall concrete segments.
The artist designs are done with historical porcelain colours, using silk-screen printing, burned two times for brilliant glaze. Roughly 100 hands touch each miniature during the workshop processing.
Because of the nature of porcelain in the end each miniature is a unique item with distinguishing features.
Title of this miniature: Berlin - Metropolis of sport. Limited edition - while stocks last.
